About

Hi, I'm Brad

(And I like to party)

lol... nope?

Welcome to the current manifestation of my blog!

It captures what random work I do on various technologies. The content of said blog likely won't help anyone (but me remember how I configured various pieces of my infrastructure), but the domain name captures my certain way of technology life:

That is to say, while I am always striving to retain good practices, sometimes you just laugh ("lol"), and ignore recommendations ("nope") in order to make progress.

So, with that, feel free to reach out if you want to chat. You can find me on LinkedIn or review my resume.

Allow myself to introduce myself

I took the plunge and joined the ranks of married men in 2015. Since then, I've gotten fat and I blame her. 🍩

Manhattan LDS temple.

I love to snowboard. Park City, Snowbird, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee are some of my favorites. Now that we live in California, I'll have to give some resorts in Tahoe a try.

I'm very mature.

I enjoy playing and officiating lacrosse, having played through high school, trying out and making Team Utah, playing in Men's League, and officiating youth, middle school, high school, and college levels.

My wife and I, ending a summer Men's League season.

I worked at Facebook as a Production Engineer. That just means I sounded like I knew what I was talking about during the hiring process. Unix and Linux systems, computer networks, programming languages -- these are things I love to do.

We were team "G" as in "G"luten Free.

I now work at Robinhood within Software Platform. Besides ensuring stonks only go 📈, we focus on making architecture & abstractions on which the rest of the company relies. Check out open positions and join the product!

I am a father of 1. #clarkthegoldendoodle is our spoiled dog who endures many outfits and pictures to make his mom happy.

You better believe we threw Clark a birthday party at the dog park.
